NHS Mobile Health and Wellbeing Hub
Our Mobile Health and Wellbeing Hub is a community outreach van designed to bring NHS services closer to local people. By travelling across neighbourhoods and attending community events, the Hub connects with people where they are, making health support visible, accessible and welcoming. We work closely with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, who also utilise the van to deliver NHS health and wellbeing checks and support a range of local neighbourhood initiatives.
What We Do
On board the NHS Mobile Health and Wellbeing Hub, we:
- engage with local communities to listen, learn and understand health and wellbeing needs
- share information about NHS services, campaigns and local support available
- offer simple advice, guidance and clear signposting to help people access the right support at the right time
Services & Support
The Hub has supported a wide range of initiatives, including:
- NHS COVID and Flu Winter Campaign vaccinations and awareness
- NHS health and wellbeing checks delivered in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and the Re:fresh Team
- Conversations around prevention, healthy lifestyles and staying well
Our team includes colleagues from the NHS and partner organisations, allowing us to provide trusted information and guidance across a broad range of health and wellbeing topics.
The Vehicle
The Mobile Health and Wellbeing Hub is accessible and includes two private consultation rooms. This ensures conversations can take place comfortably, confidentially and safely for all visitors.
Where To Find Us
You can visit the NHS Mobile Health and Wellbeing Hub at community locations and events throughout the year. Locations are chosen to make services easier to reach for people who may not always access traditional healthcare settings.
The Hub is one of the ways the NHS and local partners are working together with communities to promote prevention, improve access to care and support positive health and wellbeing.
